It’s #Kult Night! We left, as is my specialty, on three cliffhangers of a split party. The #KultDL #Tarot is revealing (standard cross pattern): only #MinorArcana cards, but all five suits! The Eight of Hourglasses signifies the Crossroads at the heart of our plot. The Four of Crescents has been in all readings so far: Transformation, the driving force. Two of Roses foreshadows a Birth. The Eight of Skulls portents Suffering. And the Two of Eyes reveals Imprisonment. It will be exciting! #TTRPG

Yesternight was #KultRPG. Due to life, only one player was available, so it became a #SoloRoleplaying #PenAndPaper #TTRPG session, which is much easier to do in #KultDL than in other systems. Thankfully, my players had pre-split the party for me as well, so we didn’t even have to account for it. What followed was a very suspenseful, gripping session. I really like #Solo #Kult. Under normal circumstances I dislike #SplittingTheParty but that is for another post. What counts is that it was rad!

@SebrinaCalkins @ordoalea I am very partial to #Kult Divinity Lost and the #KultTarot. #KultDL runs on #PbtA and thus is a “fiction first”, rules light #PenAndPaper #TTRPG. I particularly like the collaborative approach and that I never roll any dice as DM. The setting and system has allowed for horror that is on par with some of the most horrific media out there. I highly recommend it.

Tonight is #Kult and I am very excited! I have a group of amazing players, who don’t shy away from making interesting choices, furthering the plot in ways that surprise me. I guess that this due to a high amount of trust. We have been playing #ttrpgs for many years together and they know I will try to make the story exciting, without being adversarial, vindictive or unnecessarily sadistic. @HeyeBodo Nice! Indeed, I also rarely use a map for #callofcthulhu nowadays and only once for #KultDL where we needed to keep track of opened doors in a hallway. I guess the #vtt has become a force of habit. Might need it again for #werewolftheapocalypse though xD

What #vtt are you using for your #ttrpgs ? I have been using Roll20 for several years and even subscribed, because I really like the dynamic lighting functionality, especially for #dungeon crawls like #DungeonoftheMadMage ( #DnD )! It still has a lot of issues and you have to buy the module from them (no PDF). A player of mine set up #foundryvtt for our #KultDL #KultRPG sessions, but, alas, I haven’t yet delved into it. #penandpaper #online

I love #tarot cards. I find the symbolism very interesting. I have used them in #ttrpgs before, like in #callofcthulhu scenarios. Well, #KultDL #KultRPG has it’s own Tarot deck with rules and suggestions on how to integrate it into the game and even an anthology pertaining to it! The Kult Tarot deck also has one thing setting it apart: it has five suits, which of course fit thematically into the dark atmosphere of the game. I am not affiliated with the publisher, but I really like the product!

The #ttrpg I currently favor is Kult: Divinity Lost #KultDL #KultRPG. Two aspects of it have me enamored: 1. The system: It uses #PbtA Powered by The Apocalypse, which is a very streamlined fiction first and rules light system that facilitates a depth of player participation in the storytelling that I have come to love. The DM never rolls dice. The players only roll dice if failure of an action would have meaningful consequences and then they have to actually take the action for it to happen.
