Een Engelse film -en muziekartieste die onder andere bekend is van de punkband #TheRaincoats, de cultband die ze opricht met #AnnaDaSilva in 1977.
Vanaf 1984 richt ze #Dorothy op met #VickyAspinall, een voormalig bandlid van The Raincoats.
In 1990 komt de legendarische band terug samen op vraag van #KurtCobain die een ongelooflijk grote fan is, en ze trekken op tournee met #Nirvana.
Vanaf die periode zal Birch ook verschillende muziekvideo's openemen, waaronder #Crystal van

My 13 year old daughter came home wearing a Nirvana t-shirt. I said you can't wear that shirt unless you tell me your favorite song by them.

It led to a 2 month exploration of 90s rock (I guess that's dad rock now...).

Today at volleyball camp, she went up to another girl wearing a Nirvana shirt and said "My favorite Nirvana song is Lithium, what's yours?" to which the other girl had no reply. Proud dad moment.

“Kurt la escribió en un 4 pistas en nuestro apartamento en Olympia. Recuerdo haberla escuchado y pensar: ‘Dios, este tipo tiene un hermoso sentido de la melodía, yo no puedo creer que esté gritando todo el tiempo”. Así recordaba Dave Grohl como Cobain compuso All Apologies en 1990.
Kurt rara vez hablaba de esta canción, pero dijo en el festival de Reading que estaba dedicada a su esposa, Courtney Love, y a su hija, Francis Bean. 
La pieza trata sobre todo lo que se esperaba de él (Cobain) y los cambios por los que había pasado, que no fueron agradables a juzgar por las líneas, “Married … Buried”

Es uno de los momentos álgidos del punk-pop que Nirvana establecería a principios de los 90. Es imposible quedarse impasible ante su escucha. vanaf 1989 zet hij Barlow uit de band en krijgt van #KurtCobain de vraag om in Nirvana te komen spelen. Hij weigert en neemt dan nog 9 albums op als Dinosaur Jr, en in 1996 een acoustisch soloalbum, in 1999 zet hij de bandnaam dinosaurus jr op pensioen.
Hij legt zich dan nog meer toe op muziek voor soundtracks oa Grace Of My Heart.
En stapt in het #doommetal project #UpsidedownCross als drummer.
In 2005 vind hij Barlow en Murph terug op zijn pad en is er een reünie van Dinosaur Jr en de

El video de Smells Like Teen Spirit  está inspirado en la película "Over the Edge", que era la favorita de Kurt y fue nombrado la MTV como el tercer mejor video de los 100 mejores de la historia. 
Inicialmente la fotografía de la portada estaba protagonizada por una niña, cosa que la discográfica desestimó por considerar que mostrar los genitales de una niña era más ofensivo y serían cancelados.
La idea de la foto nació de la imaginación de Cobain quién quería hacer una metáfora acerca del parto y la llegada al mundo ligada a la llegada al capitalismo desde el momento de llegar al mundo, simbolizado por el dólar en el anzuelo.
Se estima que el álbum Nevermind ya ha vendido cerca de 40 millones de copias.

I saw a headline about a guitar belonging to #KurtCobain selling at an auction. My first thought was if it was the same guitar he played during the Unplugged concert because at that show he mocked the idea of buying Leadbelly's guitar for half a million dollars. I looked and found out that the Unplugged guitar was actually sold a few years ago for six million dollars.

#KurtCobain once smashed this guitar. It just sold for almost $600,000.
