Anyone in @waterlooregion know of a place that accepts mattress donations? #CBridge ideally but #KWawesome is fine too.

Queen mattress (Bloom memory foam, from Sleep Country Canada). Smoke free, pet free home. Clean, no stains.

Next step is an ad on Kijiji. Most charities specifically mention mattresses as something they do not accept as a donation.

A video I put online and spent time describing got shared on one of those Old [title here] History sites that takes the social media likes but doesn't source things or point people to the (underfunded/staffed) orgs making it all possible and *silent shouts in archivist*.

Kitchener-Waterloo, #kwawesome, the Uptown West Neighbourhood Association has got word that a Syrian refugee family being sponsored, who have been waiting YEARS to get cleared to come to Canada, will be arriving July 11th!

There is an urgent need for an affordable, 2-bedroom residence for this young family and we would like at all possible to settle them in the Westmount Public School catchment, as the children have cousins already attending that school.

Also, I’ve lived in my house for 10 years and the yew bush in the backyard has never touched the ground like it is right now. It’s been *close* as the weight of the snow often folds it over like this but never actually touched the ground.
