Not #novascotia #rainfall amounts, but 36 mm in just 15 minutes (according to my Tempest weather station) was *quite the downpour (and hail) here near Elmira #Ontario. Lots of localized flooding and our gravel road dumped a lot of dirty water on our property again. Muddy mess, but no basement flooding, though I am sure some people will have.

Been researching #urban #windturbines as the wind screams outside on this gloomy January day. Except for three days last weekend, we haven't had sun all month. Or snow. But whatever the temp, #KW is infamously windy.

#Alberta is in the middle of a #solar boom. Why can't we do the same with small wind in S #Ontario? Why are all the turbine companies European or American?
