Jeg lære norsk med Babbel-Appen og kan allerede noen få ord, men grammatikken er vanskelig når jeg snakker ikke.
Please correct my mistakes! :)
I used to follow Norwegian newspapers and politicians on Twitter to test how much I could understand of their headlines and tweets. Does anyone know any accounts on here I could follow who post primarily in Norsk (Bokmål). I don't mind what the subject matter of the posts is, it's just so I can have something to test my translations against

A while ago (maybe on my account on my first instance) I did a post about how slimy or creepy animals all have cool names in Norwegian, anyway I found out the word for worm today, and I want to update that list
Tadpole = Rumpetroll
Cockroach = Kakerlakk
Spider = Edderkopp
Bat = Flaggermus
Octopus = Blekksprut
Worm = Mark
Outstanding, really threw me curve ball with that one

So, my local dialect of English, Geordie, has a significant Scandinavian influence, stemming most likely from the Viking invasions in the middle ages. There's one Geordie word some of my older customers use to mean flea-ridden, "Loppy". So "a loppy dog" for example, or maybe an old rug could be called "loppy". Anyway, today I learnt the Norwegian word for flea is "loppe"!
