@ScepticalScot1 but private healthcare providers use the same medical staff (doctors, anaesthetists, nursing staff, dentists) and the same facilities (operating theatres, etc) as the NHS.

So the idea that private healthcare increases capacity, is just nonsense. When working on private patients, the same doctors aren’t working on NHS patients and vice versa.
