Ducking fights on difficult issues may work in the short term, if your aim is to win the support of this or that portion of the electorate. In the long run, it is a proven disaster.

Looking more into the #LabourPartyUK #Broxtowe kerfuffle. They may have just lost the seat in the next election. Greg Marshall is well known and liked in the community and probably would have won it. I would have voted for him without much thought tbh. I truly loathe the practice of parachuting in candidates and I really don't think I can vote for one of the Londoners. If Greg stands as an Independent I'm voting for him. What a sorry state of affairs.
And the audacity of Keir Starmer to claim the #SNP has weaponised trans rights! The guy that threw out Jeremy Corbyn for saying antisemitism was weaponised and was found to be true (via the Forde Report & #LabourFiles)? The guy that continues to do nothing about transphobia (or Islamophobia, for that matter)? I'm not surprised; that's Starmer on brand. #labourpartyuk #indyref2 #transgender

It would be funny but it's not...

@WEBylines There is huge support for #proportionalrepresenation in the #LabourPartyUK membership. It was part of the 1997 manifesto. We need a constitutional overhaul and PR must be part of it. There are no perfect systems but the forced private coalitions within parties is harmful. Better they were public and officially sanctioned. Better political horse trading transparently between a variety of parties than behind closed doors.
