I'm making really good progress on the #FallFinishAlong by binding off on my Niebling. It's not quite done yet - a doily is only complete after it's blocked!
I'll throw it into the laundry (in a mesh bag) tomorrow to see if it'll help with some of the yellowing because I hibernated it for way too long.
Love to hear your tips on getting yellow stains out of cotton!

It's hot enough to take up the micro needles and thread again, I guess, it's so relaxing (no). This is the last thing I was making before I effed it up. It's "The Norwind : A Model Schooner with Fine Lace Sails." It really is just what the label says: a wooden ship model with several sails made of knitted lace.
I'm no Shetland expert, but I recognize some extremely vintage patterning in those sails.

According to Margate Stove’s definition @KarenStrickholm I have knitted lace before, but never tried lace knitting. A nice distinction, the former has plain ‘return’ rows and the latter has holes made while knitting both sides of the work. There’s step by step samplers… I think I am going to like this book! #knit #lace #knitting

I saw a post about #lacemaking and thought I would share this #filetcrochet panel I made years ago; it was a small pencil drawing that a friend made of my daughter that I turned into a graph; I didn’t really think about how big it would be. It’s in my daughter’s home now. It was made with size 20 thread. #lace #crochet
