I'm making really good progress on the #FallFinishAlong by binding off on my Niebling. It's not quite done yet - a doily is only complete after it's blocked!

I'll throw it into the laundry (in a mesh bag) tomorrow to see if it'll help with some of the yellowing because I hibernated it for way too long.

Love to hear your tips on getting yellow stains out of cotton!

Here's everything I intend to complete for the #fallfinishalong:
1. Three and a half rounds and the crochet bind off left on my Niebling
2. Another shortie sock to make a pair
3. #ReynaKAL to block
4. Sleeve of a test knit pullover

I'd also like to get two other nearly-complete but long-hibernating cardigans done. They'll wait until these four are ticked off the list.

Yesterday I washed and re-blocked a shawl I knit a while back. Today I washed and blocked a new shawl I finished last month (Trieste by Roma Designs). The pattern isn’t super clear in the photo because I had to fold it in half to fit on the blocking board. Yay for symmetry! #knitting #laceknitting

Knitting brains trust. I am wanting to block a lace skirt. I’d prefer to block it in the round rather than flat, but unsure what I could use to pin it to (something fairly long and cylindrical). Any clever ideas?

After viewing absolutely wonderful talented lace knitting in my feed my entries today show I need to learn so much more. The blouse style is designed by Isager called Lace although the challenge lies in reading what is missing in the translation. Lace and shell intentional holes I knit two as they are very well tailored although there is seaming involved. #Lace #knitting - pattern is "Shetland Tea Shawl" - a traditional #shetland shawl, circular, extremely lacy.

I've given it away a long time ago, because while I very much enjoyed knitting it (it went surprisingly quickly) I'm absolutely not the person to wear such shawls.

The most fascinating thing is always the transformation that happens through blocking.

My February Feather Shawl has reached colour 3, and it kind of matches today's book. 🧡

I'm torn between wanting to steam block the tail so I can see what the final lace shawl will look like and just enjoying the texture as it is a little longer.

The book is another #HappyEndingsBookClub pick and it's great so far.

Simple #lace stitch done with #rainbow colored yarn.

No pattern, this was improvised to let the yarn shine, the lace panel is just there to keep the boredom during #knitting in check - it's fingering weight yarn, a cone of #sockyarn, 3.5 mm needles.

#FlashBackThursday Back in 2017 I designed this shawl to use up the Ístex Léttlopi yarn I dyed myself with madder. The resulting color reminded me of that gorgeous burned orange color so often found in the hills of Tuscany. So I named the pattern after the Dutch name for the region 😃

This was one of my more crazy projects - colourmart calls the yarn a "light fingering" weight, but with close to 600 m / 100 g, I'd call it a heavy lace weight. Needle size 4.0 mm, only about 200 g of yarn, extremely lacy, beautiful drape.

Nobody believes, that it's #handknit.

It's texture week for #Fiberuary so here's some texture I'm wearing around my neck today. This is an old Romi Hill mystery knit made out of this yarn called "floating" that is so aptly named. It's got alpaca in it and it's light and fluffy and oh so warm.
