#Lackadaisy, the #IndyAnimation, and #webcomic apparently, is looking to make season 1. They released their pilot ep earlier this year. And are starting a #crowdfunding campaign for the season, using new platform #Backerkit.

During prohibition, a team goes out to dig up some giggle juice. Then encounters some.. competition.

Late to the party, I know. But this was really good. Great movement that reminds me of the RescuersDownUnder. Really fluid. Fun story and characters too. It does still have some visible guidelines. And the pace is slow, but sometimes that's a good thing. Pretty great on the whole.

Nice piece of indie #animation based on some webcomics i newer read. Pleasant art-style, love that shading, strangely not overused setting (somehow #RoaringTwenties feels fresh). Animation not without raw edges (i feel like sometime it's not «you don't need 120 fps to show movement», but «we had not enough money to put enough frames here») but it's still decent animation.

The biggest shoutout to @IronSpike and the entire #Lackadaisy crew. idk how many views it takes before "the industry" comes calling, but I hope those calls are coming in.

Just watched the #Lackadaisy pilot, under perhaps the best circumstances. That is: in St. Louis, while slightly drunk.

And it's entertaining enough, not to mention a ridiculously impressive feat of indie animation. On a technical level, full marks.

... it's just that the script makes Rocky into a horribly obnoxious character. Which ... may be the point? But might not?

Also the VA behind Mitzi makes some ... choices, lemme tell you.

The dregs of a failing speakeasy try to keep the goods flowing among prohibition agents and bloodthirsty competitors. Crime, comedy, and cats.

With the webcomic, the art caught me and the storytelling kept me. This pilot does a great job adapting both and adds some delightfully catchy music.
