This c1778-83 AD #CompanyPainting is by #LadyImpey's third artist Ram Das, a native of #Patna #Bihar who started to work for the #Impey's as an assistant artist 2-3 years after Zayn al-Din began working on the #Impey series.
Tragopan, found in the #Himalayan region of #India and #Pakistan is the State #Bird of #HimachalPradesh #Indian State.

Bhavani is most well known for his studies of Fruit Bats. He was among the three native artist in the service of Lady Impey, the senior most being Shaykh Zayn al-Din and, Ram Das.

This #CompanySchool #Painting of a Goat like #EndangeredAnimal comparable to an #Antelope, is found on the forrested slopes in the Eastern #Himalayas of #India, #Bangladesh, #China & parts of Southeast #Asia and was probably made by artist Sheikh Zayn al-Din of #Patna #Bihar who worked for #LadyImpey at #Calcutta (#Kolkata) from 1777 to 1783 AD.

This #Painting was in the collection of the 10th #Viscount Valentia (1769-1844) George Annesley, 2nd #Earl of Mountnorris.
