Signups for the #covercrops cost-share program Farmers for Soil Health opened last month. At last month's #FarmProgressShow, I visited with #LafayetteCo #Missouri's Neal Bredehoeft, a farmer-director with the United #Soybean Board who hosted #USDA on his farm last year to promote the #ClimateSmart grant that is funding this effort.

Today I discovered that the beg buttons at the intersection nearest our house is even worse than I realized.

The people on the opposite side of the street, crossing the same direction as me got a walk signal, but I did not, because I didn't hit the button in time on my side of the street.

Apparently I did not full grasp the extent to which #LafayetteCO hates pedestrians
