Taking up photography a few years ago really opened my eyes to the beauty around me. For example, I went from not paying attention to sunrises to being mesmerized by them!

These utility towers are located in Lafayette Indiana. I took the photos last weekend (between rainstorms) from Tapawingo Park across the Wabash River in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Lafayette, IN at 200mm P2

I really enjoy the constraint of shooting with a prime lens, especially a longer focal length. On this day I was walking around with a vintage Pentax Tele-Takumar 200mm F5.6 lens adapted to my Sony a7R2...so I had no option except to keep my framing tight.

A few random photos I took walking around Lafayette, IN last week. I took these using the vintage Pentax Tele-Takumar 200mm F5.6 lens I stumbled across at Camera Outfitters. This lens was manufactured around 1962. looks great, and adapts well to my Sony a7R2 digital camera.

I have gotten so used to manual focus vintage lenses that it feels weird to use any of my modern lenses with auto-focus 😜
