My last few night walks have been plagued by thoughts of those THINGS in the recent Laird Barron story "Tiptoe" (and finding out more about one of the cultural references involved has not helped.)

This is actually a very good thing though, because I almost never get properly scared by horror stories any more (I think the last one was a Reggie Oliver job a few years ago). And I know a lot of people think horror doesn't have to be scary, but it does for me!

Almost exactly a "Shruff's End" from Death & Co/Phil Ward - 1 oz each #Laphroaig, #Laird's & ½ oz #Benedictine, Peychauds - except I had to add a smidgen of maple syrup to tame it, perhaps because the previous #cocktail I had was bourbon & Laird's + maple syrup. I did flame/burn cinnamon for that so this smoky one is great next.

Als Kind war ich ein riesen Fan der Turtles! Actionfiguren, Nintendo-Spiele, die Zeichentrickserie, die Filme - ich habe alles geliebt! Was ich jedoch nie gelesen hatte waren die Originalcomics.
Jahrzehnte später habe ich diese Scharte nun ausgewetzt! Es ist roh und schwankt zwischen hart und albern, aber all die großartigen Zutaten sind bereits vorhanden!
