#AirProducts has hired 25 #lobbyists ahead of #Louisiana’s legislative session. It appears they are gearing up to fight for their plan to store #carbon under #LakeMaurepas. I personally would like to see companies doing more to reduce their emissions, but at a minimum we need more #environmental analysis on the impact this would have before forging ahead with #CarbonSequestration.

On today’s episode of #BehindTheLens from #TheLensNOLA, a plan to store greenhouse gases under #LakeMaurepas is meeting pushback from local leaders. It’s good to see these kinds of moves being resisted and for us to have #LocalNews organizations shining a light on these efforts.

I’m honor of #WetlandWednesday here is an old cellphone shot of a #turtle and a #gator sharing a log on a sunny day.

This photo was taken during a #kayak trip out on Shell Bank Bayou, which connects old US 51 to #LakeMaurepas.

If I remember correctly, we didn’t make it all the way to the lake because the bayou gets narrow and shallow and the vegetation became a bit too much to trudge through. Maybe I should try again sometime…
