I like the name.

Boundary stones or markers are quite common remnants of the world before accurate mapping. This one also marks the boundary between Lancashire and Yorkshire, an important distinction.

Ran in the fourth #race of the Harrock Hill series. It's an evening race on the fourth Wednesday of each month from May to August, and is 5 miles of hilly trails and fields around West #Lancashire The race HQ is a country pub which was packed with runners afterwards. Came second in my age category so won a box of fruit and veg 😁 Wigan Phoenix won the men's team prize, a bottle of wine each 🍾

It's been a tough few weeks.

Learned today of the #Lancashire Witches Walk having ridden past no. 7 of its 10 waymarkers. It commemorates the 400th (in 2013) anniversary of the Pendle #Witch Trials and each post has a tercet from a poem by Carol Ann Duffy on top. (The full poem is in the alt text for better legibility).

While visiting #Lancaster uni, we stayed in nearby #Morecambe for a couple of nights. Apparently I've been before but I have no memory so I was obviously a tiny non-scarred-face nine toes at that time! Of course, when in Morecambe, you have to get the obligatory photo of the Eric Morecambe statue (wiki link below for any unsure-who EM-is among you). It was a wild, wet windy weekend but Morecambe is a lot calmer than nearby #Blackpool. Maybe the weather made it feel that way, too... And the #Lakes are nearby, too, so there's a bonus if you ever find yourself in the area.
