He only cares about himself in bringing up a subject he KNEW would cause bad feelings in a closed environment. When he saw Ariel was upset, he kept being an ass AND brought new people into it. When things didn’t go his way, he pouted and was going to quit. When that didn’t get him the attention he wanted, he “changed his mind” to get more attention.
