Good news everybody!

The situation that caused us to have to put the Lanchester up for sale recently has been resolved. We get to keep it :D

Progress on it will be a little slower (though the video schedule won't really reflect this) but it will continue.

Pat and I are very happy that we get to continue with our efforts on this much loved old car.

Removed the ugly filler from the front wing of the Lanchester this morning. Looks a lot better for it. Dressed the worst of the dents out and splashed some black enamel on so it blends in better than it did.

The more we looked the more rot we found. All different kinds of rot. Rotten steel, corroding aluminium, wet rot in the ash frame and woodworm too. So rotten, in fact, it was dismantling itself as we were trying to dismantle it. Don't feel so bad about chopping up this donor now.

Front wheels came off the donor car without any trouble, happily. Interestingly, I learned today it has no antiroll bar fitted. On checking our other #Lanchester it too is missing the antiroll bar.

Hoping it's not going to be an issue because they're not exactly something you can pop to Euro Car Parts and get.

Doors, boot, and fuel tank removed from the #Lanchester yesterday. Lots of useful parts harvested in the process. Glass, rear wings, and all the mechanical stuff to remove next.

This #Lanchester LD10 arrives on Saturday to help us with our project car. Hopeful that it's going to yield a wealth of specific bits and pieces that are hard to find.

Progress on the #Lanchester continues. Rear wing needed an angle grinder to remove because all the fixings were rust blobs.

This is a 1933 Lanchester 10. My father owned this in the late 60s & early 70s. I remember it as a little boy. This summer, I managed to track it down and nearly 50 years since my father sold it, the amazing current owner kindly drove it to make a surprise visit to my father. That made a difficult year a little less painful!
