@aral ugh, why would the neighbour stir things up like that as if renting in this climate weren't already laden enough with anxiety? The house next to ours was secretly sold out from under a longtime renter, to flippers, a few years ago and it was so frustrating to watch. The tenant deserved better. Just got back from a friend's place and the landlord next door is building a "tiny home" in the backyard to cram in more tenants, it's no bigger than the rooms in my 1911 house & is 3 storeys tall. He owns houses all up and down my friend's street and is building one of these in every backyard. He already has 2 international students living in every room including basements. I'm so filled with hatred right now for the entire landlord class. #HousingCrisis #LandlordIsNotAJob #exploitation #greed

I just looked at a rental listing on Facebook for a "fully furnished loft with mini kitchen" that's $850 per month, somebody's attic with a frameless bed, bar fridge, microwave dominating a side table that is the only table and has two tiny box stools pulled up to it which are the only chairs.
