Most likely I'll just be doing style vegetable breeding motherearthnews.com/tag/landra as a hobby. Maybe try to adapt some warmer weather crops to grow in Ireland when I move, since I won't have to worry about cross pollinating with neighbors' plants for those.

Crazy thing I'd do with :

Develop a madium to low acid sauce/paste by crossing good sauce varieties with self-infertile wild species. has worked on the latter.

Bolita Azul Oaxaca, a landrace heirloom corn given to us by a kind soul looking to share and spread its beauty. The first few ears we'll save for seed and sharing; the rest we hope to make into homemade tortillas. I've been research nixtamalization - if anyone has experience with the process, I'm all ears 🌽 😜

(it's not obvious in the photo but this corn is easily 12' tall!)
