In Tassie since Friday, waterfall trekking.

Smashed my phone screen this morning before sunrise at Dove Lake boatshed whilst testing out the night setting 🤦🏼‍♂️.

Beyond that (and the exorbitant amount of road kill - I read today that Tassie is the road kill capital of the world with 500,000 animals dying each year), the trip has been amazing. Two more days to go!

I have created presets to quickly batch edit my images. That's not the problem. The problem is that my old dslr does not have grid lines across the viewfinder and I can't seem to get the bubble level when using my tripod, so I spend literally hours squinting at my laptop trying to adjust the horizon! I wish you could change the colour of the grid when straightening images like you can when masking. White grid lines on a daylit beach and long exposure ocean spray (for example) is a douche.

As part of my major art exhibition in February 2024 that looks at the LGBTQIA+SB community rallying together in unity to turn the tide of the Global Climate Crisis, I've been photographing a series of abandoned items in nature. My recent trip to Moama was a goldmine; along with the chair and bin, there was also a white painted tyre.

Sometimes it is hard to fathom the destructive human footprint upon the planet; other times, not so much.
