4. On separate flashcards, create a phrase with the object blank. On the otherside, write the meaning and the objects from your home that go with it.

! Don't create a verb card with all possible definitions. Be specific, including locations. "I put (glasses, sunglasses, etc.) on my face."

This makes it way easier to remember verb phrases without having to remember all the rules.

Well I finally did an Italian lesson for the first time in a WHILE. Since I already speak Spanish, Italian is both super easy and also somewhat challenging. The biggest challenge today was in speaking and remembering to not always put the emphasis where it would go in Spanish. I kept wanting to say "a-BI-to" instead of "A-bi-to". 🤦🏼‍♀️ But I'll get the hang of it! #languagelearning #langtoot #italian

Like I love language learning but I almost never do it because my job (doing Spanish proofreading and translation project management) sometimes makes me feel like I can't brain anymore that day. But I always love language learning when I sit down and do it! Now just to decide which of the languages I started learning in 2020 to pick back up, Italian or Korean... I couldn't resist the Back2School sale of Lingodeer and subscribed for the lifetime license for LD and LD plus. I already used it 2 years ago for Japanese and it was quite good for pattern drill. Also the stories were nice.

Pons is maybe not the best choice for Asian languages but I guess this book isn't half as bad. Especially the introduction for Hangeul. Lots textbooks and apps leave this part out where the shape of the letter is linked to where the consonant is formed in the mouth. So I couldn't resist.

The German title is a pun, because it can mean "Being in love in Korea" or "Being in love with Korea".

Ich habe nicht gewusst, dass das Wort für „bumblebee“ Hummel ist! Ich finde es so süß, da Hummeln summen, oder auf Englisch „hum“.

I didn’t know that the word for bumblebee in German is “Hummel”. I think that’s so cute because bumblebees hum!
