The greatest irony of this delightful Times' piece on #ChatGPT and what it means for the future of #LanguageArts instruction is that every commenter complaining about how technology like this impedes on young people's ability--and therefore drive--to communicate effectively ignores the technology enabling those very (digital) lamentations.

I love doing my Protest Song unit in my #languagearts classroom because for 3 days my room is filled with the sounds of beautiful music.

We learn how to identify theme and feeling in a variety of songs and then students will connect biographical research to the theme in one of the songs.

So the vibe keeps alternating between Nina Simone, Dylan, Public Enemy, Sly & The Family Stone, and Jimmy Cliff. :blobhappy:
