I don't know, but for some reason the Firefox translation feature has already been shipped to me, though still marked as Beta. It works pretty well, with a few hick-ups here and there like untranslated words, forgotten whitespace, or inappropriate decapitalization, but otherwise it's really fine.

Like, it’s just the wrong language and I don’t feel connected to it. Same as with someone saying romantic things to me in Mandarin (Mandarin is the language of teachers and taxi drivers yelling at me. No intimacy allowed in it)
