Sunday afternoon & I’m #NowListening to #Fragments, the latest installment from the #BobDylan #BootlegSeries.

This first disk from the Deluxe 10 LP #vinyl edition is a remix of the #album #TimeOutOfMind.

I’ve many thoughts regarding the set (mostly positive), but the remix is, for me, a highlight. I don’t see this as replacing the OG, but it does reveal elements otherwise hidden under the #Lanois treatment. This #RyanKSmith cut is spacious, rich & dynamic.

Honestly, to my ears, the original #Lanois version of #Dylan‘s Time Out Of Mind has much more magic even after all the years in comparison to the bootleg mix released yesterday. Sometimes it‘s a good thing when an artist does not control everything. The Lanois version was a definition, the new one is just a repetition.
