A new instrument is joining the fleet at the #LasCampanas Observatory in Chile’s #Atacama Desert. It will map our neighboring #galaxies — including those only visible from the southern hemisphere — on a larger scale than ever before. There are many astronomical observatories in Chile, several of them in the Norte Chico region, near La Serena. Two of them are so close that you can see one from the other.
