More images of my newly renovated apartment. Still a few odds and ends, but mostly the bathroom has a couple weekends, maybe three weekends of work left...

Plus, later the foyer area will have shelves, counter and cabinets for a pseudo-kitchen and half-closet.

Originally, approx 100 yrs ago, this building was built as a hotel. Apartments are small but it's also an expensive high-density area a block to the park, then the lakefront, beaches, etc...

What it used to look like before the renovation.

Everything was ripped out. The loft platform, the shelves, the wood trim, the ceiling fan, the windows, most of the electrical... everything is new now.

Almost there...

Floors were installed improperly, and the planks spread out leaving gaps. If that were not the case I would have had them sanded and refinished. But most will be covered by a rug anyway so not worth the hassle of fixing...

Another 4.5 hours of scraping and steel wooling 20 years of paint of wood floors, and mopping 30+ times, oy vey iz mir, tell ya!
