Longshot: can any of you translate "ex Pareo." from a 17th C natural history written in #Latin ? elsewhere in the text "ex Aldro." is used to mean "after [Ulysses] Aldro[vani]" but parēo means "I see" so I'm wondering if this is "as I see" ... but it's being used of a dragon so ... umm ...
