I find myself gravitating towards works by #Latinx authors because there's so many commonalities with the #Philippines, including the fraught relationship with the US.

I guess we're lucky that we weren't geographically closer to America, our former colonizer, so we didn't have to deal with shit like 1/3rd of our women being forcibly sterilized (which unfortunately #PuertoRico had to deal with).

It's a comedy about two couples (one older and white, the other younger and Latin) and how they turn almost to war when they have an urgent disagreement over the property line. They are divided by race, age, politics, and (most of all) philosophy of gardening.
