We've seen #puffins in the Eastfjords on our first visit to #Iceland, the Westfjords on our fourth visit, and the North on our fifth. #Latrabjarg cliffs in #Westfjords is my favourite place to see them, hands down. Getting there can get a little hairy because of the narrow, winding, and unpaved mountain road leading there, but totally worth it. This was taken around 10pm at Latrabjarg in June. It was still pretty bright!

When I went to #Iceland for the first time, I said "I won't leave until I have a good photo of a #puffin!". Then I found that puffins might be the most photogenic creatures on earth and I made hundreds of photos of them. Many of them were good by my measure.
So unfortunately I left, but I came back many times and will for the rest of my life.

If you're thinking of visiting #Iceland to see #puffins, go to #Latrabjarg cliffs in #Westfjords in mid-June. We enjoyed great weather, small crowd, and saw lots of puffins! My biggest zoom lens isn't the fastest but still took great photos of the birds even though it was already close to 10pm. The golden hour lasts for hours that time of year. It was awesome!
