This fugitive saga must be so embarrassing for the various law enforcement agencies and police forces involved: Escaped murderer on the run in Pennsylvania has changed appearance and slipped out of search areas - Ten days and the authorities have not caught him. Is the guy that good? Or are the cops that bad? Here in the police department still has not identified or detained the killer of a young man who was beheaded with a samurai sword in broad daylight in the city limits. That happened about ten years ago. Cops are good a showing up, and sometimes that’s good enough. But in many cases, what happens after they show up is no so good, effective or competent. apnews.com/article/a729fb5d392

Police murdering striking workers in 1937 and the coverup.
“Our pictures depict a tense and nerve-wracking episode which in certain sections of the country might very well incite…riotous demonstrations in theaters leading to further casualties. For these reasons of public policy these pictures…will stay shelved.”

"even as a myself im kind of lost about how to help with the general state of things… one good thing i found is that the trans has a and some microgrant services and such for trans ppl, and their hotline service includes an explicit ban on any non-consensual emergency services calling so. its a good place to donate to or go to if you yourself need as a trans/nb person.

(from the faq)“Trans Lifeline has a policy against non-consensual active rescue, which means we will not call services or without your explicit request – even if you tell us you or someone else is in danger. If you would like support requesting an ambulance or calling 911, we can assist you after informing you about that process and what may be triggered.”

they also have a survivor stories area about harms from hotlines that call emergency services on the caller and some stats on how it causes harm."
