So, I gave it just 1 element:
Analyse the following statement of guilt from Biljana Plavsic in terms of gender [full statement given]
Even with the full text and a direct prompt, it still falls well short.
So - complex assessment briefs with multiple elements requiring original thinking and the shift from knowledge to application seem safe... for now.

I joined the crowds playing with ChatGPT
I task students on #LAWS10218 Criminologies of Atrocity with a brief to do criminological research on atrocity using ICTY testimony as data.
With the brief (or a simplified version) ChatGPT gets so far in raising a question, and even identifying a relevant case, but then hits limitations.
The review of literature was shallow. The required analysis non existent. The one 'reference' untraceable.

For 4 yrs I have taught #LAWS10218 Criminologies of Atrocity w @mjgn92
For a 4th yr, students miss seminars because of strike action.
I am under no illusion. This is a consequence of my decision to strike. They lose. I lose.
But behind that are years of University "leaders" refusing to engage and
* suppressing wages
* presiding over inequalities
* increasing workloads
* casualising the workforce
* allowing pensions to be slashed
