One of my concessions to #kitchen and household #laziness is buying boneless meat. It's more expensive, not as flavorful, and has less nutritive value, but it's easier to split into portions and freeze for a single woman. There's less waste hanging around to attract insects before I remember to put the compost bin out at the kerb on Mondays.

With smaller portions, I can push a knife through it even when partially frozen, and whip up a quick stir-fry in a few minutes, even when tired. #cooking

I’ve yet to see anyone draw the parallel between the impact on society of (i) #autonomous #vehicles, and (ii) #AI.

We’re all now familiar with the struggles of #AutonomousVehicles, and I think we’ve accepted the fact that the world, as it exists, is just too #complex for them to operate totally autonomously — so what’s the point?

To solve this issue, it seems the trend is to #lobby #lawmakers and regulatory bodies to physically alter the #transportation #infrastructure in an effort to “dumb it down” to a level “autonomous” vehicles can predict.

This looks like eliminating pedestrians, lane changes, etc.

Now, do you see the parallel? And, if so, what’s the point of having these “autonomous” #labor saving devices that aren’t really autonomous, and don’t really save us any appreciable labor?

The deep pocket AI club will have no issues dumbing society down to the point that AI looks #smart. Watch it happen, and weep at the next #corporate #social #experiment that steals our personal autonomy in the name of a “labor saving” device.

Hell, Ron Popeil provided more labor savings than AI or autonomous vehicles ever will. And he sold plastic shit that did little more than break in a month and clutter our #kitchens.
