Da bin ich froh, den Windows-Server/Domänencontroller/ActiveDirectory endlich los zu sein, und dann entdecke ich, daß da noch eine #Nextcloud per #LDAP dranhängt.

Und die dumme Nextcloud bietet mir keine Möglichkeit, die LDAP-User in lokale User umzuwandeln, wenn LDAP nicht läuft. Die nötigen Infos wären ja lokal da.

Ich soll mich doch jetzt nicht ernsthaft hinsetzen, einen neuen Windows-Server mit AD aufsetzen und die User-Daten aus dem Backup einspielen?

When it comes to user authentication and management, all the tools push towards #LDAP. I really want to avoid this.

Like many of you who use #Obsidian I keep a sort of small CRM database for work contacts.
Recently I wrote a small plugin that retrieves information about a contact from a corporate #LDAP server and saves it as a note. It adds a picture of the contact at the same time.

In my current project(spring boot, java 17) i have to secure a rest-api so that only members of a certain active directory can use the endpoints. Why do systems continually confuse mail and upn attributes?

I had this same issue at my last job and just spent 4 hours assisting a SAML issue because the system says email but it's really UPN.

My tombstone will read "Here lies Phil Gastwirth, he died explaining how UPN and Mail attributes are different"

Just set up #dovecot and #postfix to migrate away from the curse of #zimbra. Even took the time to set up #ldap and #pam for it. How convoluted. I can see now why things like #exchange and #zimbra are so awful.

Spent all day trying to get an LDIF file to be imported into Softerra. Getting rid of spaces, adding code, removing code, adding spaces etc. What finally did it, is separating each attribute change/deletion. But should be much easier to modify a user next time.

Dans la catégorie « j'ai fait une connerie ». Mon LDAP ne répond [;us (i; me casse les gonades iceluy) donc, je désactive l'utilisation de LDAP dams mon nextcloud, je créé les utilisatevrs locaux et je déplace les fichiers de dossier user/ldap dans user/locaux.

Sur le disque, la place est occupée, mais dans l'interface il manque tout ce que j'ai bougé. Sans doute une histoire avec MySQL, mais là… je ne sais que faire
