Watching the news coverage of the #LE2023 & the usual suspects are starting the #excuses for the #Tories performance. Plus who is to blame! Can I put forward my candidate of blame - the #DUP
My reasoning - May gave 'Dame' #Foster £1bn & #DUP to keep her in power. #Foster phoned May, threatened her not to agree to the #WithdrawalAgreement or she pull her support for her government.
This gave #ERG the confidence to move against her, knowing they had the #DUP backing. So they moved

Too early to really tell how well each of the parties are truly doing, but some maps like this make me smile :)

Theresa is starting to look as if she wasn't the worst PM the #Tories have had in the last #Thirteenyears (which is saying something)
The #DUP probably wish they had taken her deal now. If they had, #Johnson may never have became #Prime Minister and we could avoided his disastrous administration!
*sniggers to herself as she walks away.
Still early though but it is a nice way to start day - the #Tories getting a boot in the ba**s

#LE2023 We expect less than a quarter of the wards will declare by 6am this evening. Damning blow for the hot-take economy.

Voted in #LE2023. Fortunately my out-of-date passport satisfied the intruding requirement for photo ID (once I flipped my mask off). Please, next government, make this be temporary and, while you're at it, upgrade our system to STV.
Also, all three seats in my ward were up for the vote. If that's what you have and you're yet to vote, do note that there isn't anything fancy about this. It's just three basic FPTP votes all at once. As a kid I may've been cute with one of my votes. Not today.
The choice in #LE23 #LE2023 (and #GE24 #GE2024) is clear. If you want to make life better for CEOs, then vote for more #ToryMisrule. If you’re more inclined to see working people keep the roof over their heads, it has to be @UKLabour.

It feels like we’re in a #GeneralElection campaign at the moment. Today’s topic: things in the sea that shouldn’t be there. Perhaps Rish!’s plan is to put off the boats by filling our oceans full of sh!t? Both problems are the result of 13yr failed Tory policies. #LE23 #LE2023

Local elections in England next week, 4th May (in Northern Ireland, 18th May).
One complaint about local elections is that voters know little about the candidates' views. Help is at hand! @DemocracyClub are crowd-sourcing candidate links, emails, statements etc. See https://whocanivotefor.co.uk/ for elections in your area.
Still lots of gaps (understandable with >25000 candidates). You can contribute at https://candidates.democracyclub.org.uk/ and help inform voters
