Watching the news coverage of the & the usual suspects are starting the for the performance. Plus who is to blame! Can I put forward my candidate of blame - the

My reasoning - May gave 'Dame' £1bn & to keep her in power. phoned May, threatened her not to agree to the or she pull her support for her government.

This gave the confidence to move against her, knowing they had the backing. So they moved

Theresa is starting to look as if she wasn't the worst PM the have had in the last (which is saying something)

The probably wish they had taken her deal now. If they had, may never have became Minister and we could avoided his disastrous administration!

*sniggers to herself as she walks away.

Still early though but it is a nice way to start day - the getting a boot in the ba**s

Voted in . Fortunately my out-of-date passport satisfied the intruding requirement for photo ID (once I flipped my mask off). Please, next government, make this be temporary and, while you're at it, upgrade our system to STV.

Also, all three seats in my ward were up for the vote. If that's what you have and you're yet to vote, do note that there isn't anything fancy about this. It's just three basic FPTP votes all at once. As a kid I may've been cute with one of my votes. Not today.

The choice in (and ) is clear. If you want to make life better for CEOs, then vote for more . If you’re more inclined to see working people keep the roof over their heads, it has to be @UKLabour.

It feels like we’re in a campaign at the moment. Today’s topic: things in the sea that shouldn’t be there. Perhaps Rish!’s plan is to put off the boats by filling our oceans full of sh!t? Both problems are the result of 13yr failed Tory policies.

Local elections in England next week, 4th May (in Northern Ireland, 18th May).

One complaint about local elections is that voters know little about the candidates' views. Help is at hand! @DemocracyClub are crowd-sourcing candidate links, emails, statements etc. See whocanivotefor.co.uk/ for elections in your area.

Still lots of gaps (understandable with >25000 candidates). You can contribute at candidates.democracyclub.org.u and help inform voters

On 4 May, slightly over 8,000 councillors will be elected across England.

Proportion of seats contested by the major political parties:

93% - Conservative
77% - Labour
59% - Liberal Democrats
41% - Green

However, there are some important regional variations, as the table below shows. Labour are the largest party across Northern England, while the Liberal Democrats are in second place in the South West.
