GPS time is not the same as UTC/GMT time.

GPS time does not account for leap seconds. That’s a user space issue.

It’s always interesting to me to see the display of two devices (let’s say Microsemi) side by side displaying the captured GPS time with that of time from an NTP server.

I don't understand this article: https://www.nytimes.com/2022/11/19/science/time-leap-second-bipm.html about the #leapsecond. Atomic clocks need a T=0. If we stop adjusting T=0, those clocks will drift away from UTC . Yes, insertion of the leapsecond causes headaches, but failing to do that will lead to a larger problem in the future. Why are we celebrating? Aren't we just kicking the can down the road?
