#SVBFailure is a stark reminder of the dangers of placing profits over prudence. By disregarding their risk model, execs created a situation that put the entire bank in jeopardy. #BusinessLesson: Putting short-term gain ahead of long-term stability can be disastrous. #LearnFromThePast #FinancialRegulation #Accountability http://www.techmeme.com/230402/p2#a230402p2

Day 17. Stamp challenge
Today’s stamp recognises the International Year of Shelter for the Homeless. The stamp cost 36c. The first line for the explanation for this stamp starts, “ Approximately one quarter of the world’s population is inadequately housed” I will not bother with what is said next because of the white hot anger I feel for Australia for thinking it was a good idea to set the international record as a virual aim for its people.
I do not blame landlords renting houses to a tenant where rent is almost beyond their reach. The decision to aid personal wealth though housing stock has been a deliberate policy of government. As was the decision not to house the unhoused in state owned property. Our recognition housing was of primary need to mankind in 1987 was lost until now as today, families sleep in cars and jobs go undone because workers cannot find a place to sleep at night.
When these stamps were collected we had no idea how different things could become in a few short years.

I posted an article from the past on Twitter yesterday and @dogtrax took the time to read it on my blog and post a comment.
Today I posted several Tweets with images created via the #clmooc interaction since 2013. Finding ways to motivate people to look at articles from the past is one way I use Twitter, Linkedin and Facebook.
The past could be yesterday, or 2005. or 1994.
