Found this ~30yo #leatherman PST while helping clean out an elderly person's garage yesterday. We were allowed to take items from the donation pile, and this was one of the things I picked up. I now have it soaking in some Evaporust.

I feel strongly that tools should be used. I currently have a dozen+ Leatherman tools (mostly discontinued or rare models that I found interesting), so I hardly need another one. I'm now pondering which of my friends would actually use it if I gifted it to them.🤔

During my #actuallyautistic journey into #leatherworking, I talked with one fellow #leatherman who is also a member of @blufclub. I have made my first biker wallet using a template I purchased from Tandy Leather as a starting point. I might want to make some tweaks here and there before making more of them (I have been considering doing piping) when I am actually able to do so and will be working with the club at that time. So here's my prototype for a BLUF biker wallet. I know that I will be able to get a better trace of the logo in time with practice and improve my tooling and dying techniques on vegtanned leather.

It looks like it's going to essentially be an early release of the new Leatherman ARC. I've been a huge fan of my Free P4, and both Garage 005 and the ARC appear to be refinements of that model.

Serious Gay Life Skills question:

How does one find folks to get into 'trouble' with in advance of visiting other cities? Other queers seem to have no issue finding guides and drinking buddies and playmates in advance, but using the Scruff or Growlr search feature has never worked for me.

I'd love to meet and meat some Berlin, Antwerp and Brighton boys, #bears and buggerers, especially #pups and #leatherman, but I'm not at all sure how to connect in advance.

Hmm, my #Leatherman Surge which I bought in 2011 for £79 now costs €179.

I think even adjusting for currency conversion and #inflation that got a lot more expensive.

The only improvement I see is the wire cutter blades are replaceable on the current one. Mine never was much use in wire cutting to begin with.
