Starting a process of removing myself completely from twitter/Instagram/tiktok

I hear recommendations to not deactivate the account as other people can then take your name after 30 days. So I’m thinking of deleting all posts, unfollowing everyone, and just taking the accounts private to leave with a “moved to mastodon” profile pic or bio or something.

Any tips or alternative suggestions for doing this?
