Great quality #casserole from Staub. Managed to get it a bit cheaper yet new from eBay, outstanding thing and already proven itself few times. Highly recommended. Cheaper than some more marketed alternatives.

So our very nice (and equally annoying) whistling kettle has broken its one and only moving part. The flip up whistle no longer has a working hinge. As #LeCreuset don't currently supply replacement parts, and nothing on ebay seems to fit, I'm going to have to rebuild the hinge. Le Creuset were very nice and even though it's out of warranty they sent a replacement kettle, however, this is missing the point somewhat. #Epoxy #Repair

So my current quest is to fix my kettle. The one moving part, the hinged whistle, has snapped and needs replacing. My mission is to get Le Creuset to send me a new one. #Thrifting find of my day. Got me a pink Le Creuset teapot for $40. Its not vintage, but still lovely.

I'm slowly replacing all my cookware with secondhand Le Creuset that gets listed for cheap on craigslist/nextdoor/etc. I have two so far.
