This is _mostly_ just interesting to me, but doing a post about it anyway to document the new official load order for my Legacy of the Dragonborn run. In case I run into any issues later that I need to ask for help on, and somebody says to me, "What's your load order?" This'll be the reference source I'll go back to to get that info.

To my vexation, y'all, I'm having to re-do the beginning of Kendeshel's playthrough. I discovered that the mod I was using to give her that lovely hairstyle unfortunately broke the faces of every female Redguard NPC. And that's no damned good. 😛

Anyone familiar with modding Skyrim probably knows about the "black face" bug, right? If you're not familiar with that, it's a thing caused by conflicting mods that both edit NPC data but don't do it smoothly. So the game punts into a weird state for the impacted NPCs and displays their faces wrong. They come out completely black.

In which Kendeshel, half-Redguard, half-Altmer scholar and relic hunter, comes to Solitude to join the staff of the Dragonborn Gallery; journeys to Helgen only to discover it destroyed by a dragon; recovers the Dragonstone from Bleak Falls Barrow; is VERY surprised to discover she is Dragonborn when she helps Whiterun kill a dragon; recovers a lost artifact at Silent Moons Camp; and saves the Jarl of Whiterun from assassination, letting her claim the Bow of Obfuscation.

This playthrough will be featuring Legacy of the Dragonborn, and all the vast array of changes it makes to Skyrim! By definition, these posts will be chock full of spoilers for that mod.

Y'all, I think I may have a viable load order now for a Legacy of the Dragonborn Skyrim playthrough.

And, just as importantly, I have a take on Kendis--or for purposes of this playthrough, Kendeshel--that looks a LOT closer to how I envisioned her for the cover of Faerie Blood. Check 'er out, y'all!

Experimenting with building a load order for #LegacyOfTheDragonborn in #Skyrim this afternoon. I have a first draft working, which will include several other mods I haven't tried before either--most notably, Alternate Start - Live Another Life, and Wintersun: Faiths of Skyrim. I'm also bringing in a couple of mods that add new locations and associated quests, Wyrmstooth and Project AHO.

I'm using a mix of mods from Elessir's load order, and from the LOTD Complete Collection up on Nexus. I think I will wind up with a slightly shorter load order than the one I'm using in Elessir's run.

I'm working on Kendis' second to last post for her #Skyrim run, which will be going up shortly. Then I'm going to run her battle with Alduin and get her playthrough closed out.

But I'm not feeling happy about how this playthrough went, and I feel like Kendis--who is, after all, named after the heroine of Faerie Blood and Bone Walker--deserves a better Skyrim run than this.

I think I'll make her be the character for my next modded playthrough where I run #LegacyOfTheDragonborn. And since that'll be modded, I can use RaceMenu, and see if I can get a version of her that actually looks _more_ like her namesake!

Question for #Skyrim modders out there who've played #LegacyOfTheDragonborn:

I'm starting to plan for doing a Legacy playthrough, and considering what _other_ mods, if any, I want in my load order. My goal is to be as minimal as possible to make things as easy on myself as I can setting this up, since I know Legacy is a ginormous mod.

Current plan involves critical patches, Alternate Start, USSEP, Convenient Horses.

I've also had recommended Icecreamassassin's mannequin fix, extended safehouse stuff, and TCC (referenced on the official guide as the LAST thing you should activate).

Any other super-critical mods folks would recommend as part of a Legacy playthrough?
