One of the first and longest-running interdisciplinary graduate conferences of its kind in North America, Strategies of Critique has played an important role in fostering an international interdisciplinary community for emerging scholars by drawing participants from across Canada, the U.S., and overseas.

This year’s Strategies of Critique Conference reflects on the relationship between care and cure, and the collective violence ordained in the name of both. Who is cared for, and by whom? What political purpose does care serve?

My favourite moment of that god-awful period of time was after doing round one of jail support at 14 Division (after Lamport) when the 🐖🐖🐖 pepper-sprayed everyone and we moved off together to regroup at Christie Pits.

I had asked @crockett to bring us a speaker and it became a healing moment, captured here by The Hoser Media.

And this is exactly why I have a jail support/community defence soundtrack.
