I'm in the frustrated camp. I'll give you an analogy that you probably won't find satisfying that is part of my perspective that there's a problem with the legal process.

I'm a software engineer primarily. I have two postulates:

1. Software is a process with a set of rules, as is legal proceeding a process with a set of rules.

In software there's a notion of a "boundary condition", that is, some case that was not recognized before hand to be an issue and therefore not checked thereby yielding an unforeseen error condition.

2. Software exists in a collective/community with an expectation of use, as is a legal process within a societal use.

My premise, Trump is a boundary condition not addresses by the legal process rules and approaches. Trump has uncovered a bug in the legal system.

This legal system bug should be addressed here.

Today we're going to get to find out just out fucked up the is regarding past arrests. Back in 1988 I told a college cop to fuck-off when he threatened to arrest me if I didn't tell him who pulled a fire alarm (I didn't even know). So, the next day the REAL cops come and get me, saying I'd been doing some majorly f-d up stuff. (which I didn't do)

They figured I'd sit downtown and spill my guts, but I couldn't, since I had no idea. In the end, we went to a hearing, the college cops were fired and I got my dorm room offered back to me (I didn't take it).

Maybe 10yrs ago I needed a security clearance, so I had the arrest "supposedly" expunged and got the clearance.

Now, 35yrs later, after taking in a foster kid who's parent got very violent after she told them she liked girls.... Social Workers did a background check and want to interview me about this.

If I'd just refused to talk and asked for a lawyer, this would never have happened.

This is why I tell my kids: Don't talk to cops.

My wife Kathy is an attorney and I own a software business. We were talking about the Dominion case and Clarence on the Alie walk this morning.

She, as many people have done here regarding Dominion, argue "this is what the law says and this is how the courts work".

Being a software guy, we look at broken and arbitrary processes (the law is a process) and try and find fixes that make the process better and less arbitrary. Here I'm referring to business software primarily.

What I see with and the Dominion settlement is a good example of a legal system that is broken and arbitrary.

The and the on , as well as the Federal judge in Texas, and many other examples, have proven that laws can be written and interpreted in ways that fit a political narrative.

The showing with and the classified documents case that the investigative process and decision to investigate is arbitrary and subject to politics.
