I recently got an invite to a #Lehigh women's alumnae event in Boston this coming Tuesday --- I've been going back and forth on it, but I think I'm going to pass. While it's Boston so you'd think it be ok, I'm worried the demographic that it'll attract will make it likely that at least a few people there object to #trans women being a a women's event, and I don't think I have the mental energy to deal with it.

I'm a #Biologist working on the #Genetics, #CellBiology, and #MolecularBiology of #Host-Microbe interactions. I use #Drosophila infected with a maternally transmitted bacteria called #Wolbachia as a model system.
