The meadow is adjacent to the woods and it would be a shame for it to be commercialised in such a way. Plus the road there can’t sustain the amount of traffic that would get generated.

Welp, it didn’t come out as I expected, and I am disappointed, but it is a painting. I think where I went wrong is to use too many colours and to not go dark enough. But we live and learn. I will redo this painting and show you the next attempt, we all learn together! #gouache #painting #leighwoods

Some of you may wonder why I post so many paintings of Leigh Woods. There are several reasons. One is I was gifted membership of the place a year or so ago so want to ensure that we get all of the value of that. Second, Barney needs to walk every day so we go there later in the day & he does his stuff & we walk and talk. Third I like the place despite the ghost stories.
