Here’s a picture of that old cable location.

For safety removed the internal battery and CMOS battery. The rest was unthreading the wireless cable , camera and LCD cable. Then screws.

The biggest pain in the butt is the bezel since it’s clipped in and has glue - so you have to be nice and kind to remove to see the LCD and to do the swap’a’roo. 😘

Ordered a replacement LCD Cable sometime last week and it arrived on Friday. (About $20)

Just installed it into this Lenovo T480 and boom! Looks great! *phew* .

The walk through said Difficult and about 3hours; but I’m a tech, and it was about… 30/45min? Maybe? I wasn’t trying to rush; but I didn’t do all the steps suggested. Still not sure why you need to take off the keyboard?

Anyway, below are a couple of screenshots of the flickering before repair. Happened like every 5 seconds?

I am happy that this thing seems designed for repair.
