Je crois que je vais acheter un Lenovo Yoga 7 Gen 8 (16" AMD Ryzen 7 7735u).
C'est malheureusement livré avec windows.
J'espère qu'il va fonctionner avec Linux que j'ai bien l'intention d'installer en tant qu'OS principal.

So i have recently got myself a new #LenovoYoga laptop, but it has some drivers missing that would need work in the #kernel. Particularly the pen driver and sound driver i know would be on the radar.

Im curious if people here would be interested in me streaming my efforts as i work. Similar in spirit to Asahi Linux and @lina

As a Cap woman, I always look at everything in detail. I created only 2 virtual gift cards for today 😰, but my assistant #LenovoYoga did its work well.

Made a layout of Microsoft Word with the Japanese postcard >> saved it as a PDF >> drew a Christmas tree (needed a long time to draw a perfect tree as my imagination 😖) >> saved >> started to use my handwriting (so tiring to make the style, must be in a straight line, and choosing the colors 😵) >> Ctrl S, and I'll send them to my friends (2512)❤️

Finally had time and motivation to get the yoga and debian finished.

Wifi is up and running - not usually an issue with laptops + linux these days.

The touchpad doesn't like recovering after sleep mode. I have to run rmmod i2c_hid && modprobe i2c_hid
to get it back. Weirdly I have to run it 4 times before it sticks.

I'll get it sorted when the laziness factor gets overridden by the annoyance factor.

Ich hab kürzlich mal etwas Marktforschung zu GNU/Linux auf Convertibles betrieben. Zuerst grob, dann aber auf Lenovo beschränkt.

Rausgefallen ist das *Lenovo ThinkPad L380 Yoga* und das *Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 370*, wobei ich das L380 jetzt hier habe und ausprobiere.

Unter Manjaro Gnome 21.3.7 mit Linux 5.15 läuft alles Out-of-the-box (außer der automatischen Bildschirmdrehung und dem Helligkeitssensor).

Die Mindestanforderungen waren u.a.:
- Convertible mit Touchscreen
- kein verlöteter RAM !
- relativ gute Reparier- und Erweiterbarkeit
- 2 USB-A 3.0 Anschlüsse + 1x USB-C 3.0
- 2x2.4GHz oder 4x1.7GHz
- 8GB RAM erweiterbar auf min. 16GB
- 13-14 Zoll FHD Bildschirm
