I'm going to try to go out and see the #leonidmeteorshower tonight. I think I read that peak timing is in about half an hour for me (DC, USA). Instead of going outside to get my eyes used to the "dark" (I'm in #DC it's not that dark) I'm just turning off all the house #lights. it's too cold to stand outside for 30. Anyone else seeing anything? #astronomy #meteorshower #leonid #meteor

Since there is a lot of misinformation about the #Leonid #meteors around ... read pages 17-18 of https://www.imo.net/files/meteor-shower/cal2022.pdf - *the* source about meteor showers in 2022 - as well as the article https://www.imo.net/viewing-the-leonid-meteor-shower-in-2022/ and learn that the only *possible* interval of some interest for non-specialists is between 6:00 and 6:30 UTC on *Saturday* when briefly rates *could* get nice which are pretty low at all other times. Including the coming night with the regular (always low) maximum at ~23:00 UTC.
