It must be the monthly ritual of searching for new releases in #LesbianHistoricalFiction and #SapphicHistoricalFiction through Amazon keywords because I am once again ranting about "why does the keyword "lesbian" turn up more gay male titles than lesbian ones?????" I know the answer, of course. People just fill in all manner of LGTBQ keywords on the theory that...what...someone who is looking for f/f books might buy an m/m one because it's at the top of the search results?

@AimeeMaroux I’ve been debating whether to try relying on hashtags or whether to set up a specialized alias on gup.pe. I’m not entirely convinced that the latter are a good idea, given that there doesn’t seem to be a way to moderate how they’re used. But I’ll keep using #SapphicHistoricalFiction and #LesbianHistoricalFiction and hope they get taken up generally.
