I'm thinking, sometimes people need interactions because of reasons. I'm not talking about followers or re-toots, lets say replies and favs, something that makes us feel part and that someone else is reading us and care a little bit.
So, I'm thinking on a hashtag like #LetsTalk to signal that you want interactions and we agree on it, to share, to reply and write back.
I feel like it could be a positive thing.

Writers are lonely creatures.

I would love to make some writing friends here (who write on Medium or with whom I can discuss writing and other million things).

But I'm afraid anyone would be interested in it. Because most of us are too afraid to try something new.

On birdsite there was a tendency to being too quick to take offense. Those who criticized us may have wanted constructive dialogue. Is it possible that we got something wrong and should be grateful to others putting us straight? I definitely tried to keep an open mind. But this is a two way process. If you start an engagement with an insult you're asking to be blocked. On Mastodon I would encourage those with fixed views to consider the possibility they've got some details wrong. #LetsTalk

On birdsite, once upon a time, every Friday I dedicated #FF to broadcasters I respected. Over the years the numbers on my lists dwindled until I ended up not doing it at all. I used to follow loads of broadcasters but as they disappointed me I unfollowed and quite frequently blocked them. But I'll not do that on Mastodon. I want to hear what they say and I'll respond to their toots to tell them when I think they're wrong, and why exactly I think that. #LetsTalk
